Problem Statement & Goals

Problem:

The healthcare industry faces significant digital transformation challenges. Outdated systems, fragmented communication channels, and complex processes create barriers that prevent patients from receiving timely, accessible care while overwhelming healthcare providers with administrative burdens.

Our Solution Approach:

The main goal of the storage management feature is to empower users and admins to:

  • Intelligent scheduling system: Real-time availability with smart conflict resolution

  • Centralized health dashboard: Unified platform for all health-related information and activities

  • Seamless communication tools: Integrated messaging, video calls, and document sharing

From a design perspective, the goal was to:

  • Make complex storage data understandable and actionable through a clear, intuitive UI.

  • Fit seamlessly into the Quark Docurated product experience, without adding cognitive load.

  • Support proactive, self-service storage management that scales with organizational needs.

Research Findings:

  • Average wait time for appointments: Patients wait 3-4 weeks for non-emergency consultations

  • Limited access to medical records: 73% of patients struggle to access their health information

  • Poor communication channels: Fragmented systems lead to miscommunication and delays

  • Administrative overhead: Healthcare providers spend 60% of time on paperwork

My Role:

As the Core UI/UX Designer, I was responsible for:

  • Designed the UI for the the app.

Collaborated closely with:

  • Product Manager & Product Owner for requirements and priorities.

  • Developers & QA to align design feasibility.

  • Stakeholders to review and incorporate feedback.


Target Users

  • Primary: Adults aged 25-55 seeking convenient healthcare access

  • Secondary: Healthcare providers looking for digital practice management

  • Tertiary: Elderly users and caregivers managing chronic conditions
